Large CME will arrive on Earth Sunday the 25th

The proton flux measured by the GOES satellite has been increasing since the long duration X flare event yesterday. The ~10MeV threshold may be crossed later today, especially if the proton flux is reinforced by other possible events from Cat 72 (NOAA 1295) or Cat 82 (NOAA 1301). As more data is now available, it becomes clear that the CME associated with this X-flare is a large scale event. PROBA2/SWAP difference images show a global EUV wave. STEREO A and B chronographs imaged a clear halo CME. SOHO/LASCO suffers from a data gap, but also suggest a halo CME. Speed estimates based on COR2 data lead to a CME speed between 620 (based on STEREO A) and 900 km/s (based on STEREO B). Earth may receive a glancing blow from this CME, probably in the morning of September 25."

STRONG SOLAR ACTIVITY: On Saturday morning, Sept. 24th, behemoth sunspot 1302 unleashed another strong flare--an X1.9-category blast at 0940 UT. NASA's Solar Dynamics Observatory recorded the extreme ultraviolet flash:

At link above the movie also shows a shadowy shock wave racing away from the blast site. This is a sign that the blast produced a coronal mass ejection (CME). Analysts at the Goddard Space Weather Lab say the CME could deliver a glancing blow to Earth's magnetic field on Sept. 26 at 14:10 UT (+/- 7 hours); click here for an animated forecast track. SOLAR STATIC: Active sunspot 1302 has turned the sun into a shortwave radio transmitter. Shock waves rippling from the sunspot's exploding magnetic canopy excite plasma oscillations in the sun's atmosphere. The result is bursts of static that may be heard in the loudspeakers of shortwave radios on Earth. Amateur radio astronomer Thomas Ashcraft recorded this sample from his backyard observatory in New Mexico on Sept. 24th:

"Saturday was a super-strong solar day with near continuous flaring and radio sweeps," says Ashcraft. "The sound file (above) corresponds to an M3 flare at 1918 UTC. It was the strongest radio sweep of the observing day."

"Try listening to the radio bursts in stereo," he advises. "I was recording on two separate radios at 21.1 MHz and 21.9 MHz, and I put each one into its own channel of the audio file. This gives a spatial dimension as the bursts sweep down in frequency."

IMPACT: A coronal mass ejection (CME) hit Earth's magnetic field at approximately 12:15 UT on Sept. 26th. The impact caused significant ground currents in Norway. Also, the Goddard Space Weather Lab reports a "strong compression of Earth's magnetosphere. Simulations indicate that solar wind plasma [has penetrated] close to geosynchronous orbit starting at 13:00UT." Geosynchronous satellites could therefore be directly exposed to solar wind plasma and magnetic fields. Stay tuned for updates.

Earth's magnetic field has been strongly disturbed since approximately 1300 UT on Sept. 26th when a CME hit our planet. The impact strongly compressed the magnetosphere, exposing geosynchronous satellites to solar wind plasma, and ignited auroras around both poles. Abstract.

In this letter we report new modeling resultsthat show the formation of an electron hole (depletion) inthe topside equatorial ionosphere.

The reduction in the elec-tron density occurs in the altitude range 1500 – 2500 kmat geomagnetic equatorial latitudes. The hole is producedby transhemispheric O+flows that collisionally couple toH+and transport it to lower altitudes, thereby reducing theelectron density at high altitudes.

The transhemispheric O+flows are caused by an interhemispheric pressure anisotropythat can be generated by the neutral wind, primarily duringsolstice conditions. The formation of the electron hole has aseasonal and longitudinal dependence.

This result has beenfound with a new low-latitude ionospheric model that hasbeen developed at the Naval Research Laboratory: SAMI2(Sami2 is Another Model of the Ionosphere).IntroductionRecently, a new low-latitude model of the ionosphere hasbeen developed at the Naval Research Laboratory: SAMI2(Sami2 is Another Model of the Ionosphere).

SAMI2 treatsthe dynamic plasma and chemical evolution of seven ionspecies (H+, He+, N+, O+, N+2, NO+, and O+2). The iontemperature equation is solved for three species: H+, He+,and O+, as well as the electron temperature equation. Theneutral species are specied using MSIS86 and HWM93.

SAMI2 models the plasma along the earth’s dipole eld fromhemisphere to hemisphere and includes the E  B drift of aflux tube (both in altitude and in longitude), as well as iner-tia in the ion momentum equation for plasma motion alongthe dipole eld line. Existing ionospheric models [Ander-son et al., 1998; Richards and Torr, 1996; Bailey and Balan,1996; Anderson et al., 1996] assume the ions are collisionalat all altitudes. To our knowledge,

A severe geomagnetic storm (Kp=7 to that began yesterday when a CME hit Earth's magnetic field is subsiding. BIG SUNSPOT: The source of all this solar and geomagnetic activity is sunspot AR1302. Measuring more than 150,000 km from end to end, the sprawling active region is visible even without a solar telescope. The sunspot has quieted down since unleashing dual X-flares on Sept. 22nd and 24th. Nevertheless, NOAA forecasters estimate a 40% chance of more X-flares during the next 24 hours. So now it is the 27th. Time to keep a watch out for the build up of incoming CME's and resulting quake activity over the next 7 days.

I feel that the next big earthquake is going to take place between middle of September to middle of October.
From east of Chiba to Shikoku, there are going to be series of earthquakes in short period of span.

The place with big casualties will be Tokyo, Shizuoka, Southern Nagoya, Northern Kagawa and Northern Miyazaki.
This may sound imprudent but I feel that the magnitude of the damage will exceed the 3.11 EQ.

Even if this prediction does not come true, there is nothing to lose from preparing oneself so I suggest that people
store 10 days worth of food and water for each person in the house.

By that time the world economy will be extremely chaotic. (The world economy is already chaotic.)

Instead of thinking about securing a job after the disaster, please think about securing food and necessary bare bone essentials.
And at the begging of next year, we will start to see serious effects of the nuclear disaster.
The situation is very serious. The theoretical scare of the radiation at the present will become a reality and will start to have an effect on the human bodies.
If you have children or if you are thinking about having a children, do not be hesitant.
In the next disaster, please act accordingly without hesitation.

But because of the damage to the production facilities as well as circumstances concerning electricity, internal (Japanese) production facilities will not operate and on top of that having low food self-sufficiency, the food price will rise sharply.

There will be a rather big EQ in a port town such as San Fransisco, Santa Barbara where cable cars are running and have European feel to the town with hills by the 26th (28th?). It looks European so it could even be a European town.

If the above Earthquake happens the Japanese earthquake will be devastating. (Especially the Setonaikai area.)
