An egregore is a group consciousness or collective thought form Devakas.

This thread wasnt intended to be a 5th or 6th thread for imagamud to start "harping" on about the devil and proselyting christian theology in an off topic manner again lol.

Whats it called now. oh yes,
    Die Spam Die

A religious theology thread would be an excellent idea now wouldn't it.

The intention of this thread was to explore ways in which fear is indoctrinated into the alternative and conspiracy sector via misinformation and other methods, not about God the father and the son etc etc which magamud starts discussing on every thread he goes to lol.

Im sure our friend would be delighted to start a topic on the bible on this forum similar to the one on Project Avalon for which his friend was banned. If that's not enough there is another thread on the bible plus one on the devil here and on Nexus and god knows (so to speak) where else lol.
    Rolling Eyes

Im not sure if any listened to Kerry Cassidy's radio show last, (I didnt) where they were discussing the non existent large object heading for Earth. I think even Miss Cassidy is suggesting the information is well dodgy but frankly you would have been daft to take it seriously from the start. Bill Deagle was calling it Niburu so that about sums it up.

First we were led to believe it was coming and some heavy duty crap was gonna be going down and then not. Fear promotes uncertainty and confusion.
I wonder how many poor blighters did actually think an object the size of the moon was due to pull up to earth poor things.
    Thanks 'insiders'. not.

Harp Hey I finally found some harping!

On a strictly personal note, I see magamud, and I always first think "MegaMud", (Whom is either a parody villain in the The Tick universe, or an early grunge band from East LA...) I must apologize, as I realise he is your Bizzaro Twin.

He's likely an Athiest or somesuch also, or worse yet, a scientist! Shocked

(You see, I also come from a cartoon universe... Fighters )

So Floyd, if it makes you feel better, call him MegaMud, snicker and feel better.

Looks like the moon sized planet/spaceship/niburu/planetoid object due to hit earth on August 17th was fear more based propaganda after all.

Apparently the moon sized object is real after all according to false prophet and doom addict Dill Beagle and as usual Miss Cassidy assists in the unnecessary fear diarrhea by offering a permanent platform for fear and misinformation merchants.

Meanwhile in the real world we are not worried by non existent objects such as piloted comets, asteroids and moon sized objects that may or may not be a planet or spaceship etc etc etc that, btw, have no influence on geophysics whatsoever apart from in the mind of an idiot.

It is a shame that so many are addicted to Doom Porn. Maybe we cannot admit to ourselves that we are responsible for our decisions. Hoping for catastrophe or ascension is kind of a chicken way out, letting others solve your problem for you.

The problem is, our inability to see past such unconcious choices blinds us that the pattern is still the same, even after letting others solve your problems, you are still faced with accepting that which does not belong to you, so original problem remains, even after superficial change.

This is like the spoiled child who breaks convention for his own amusment. "My dad will (post bail) (rescue me) (clean up my mess) etc..."

The loving parent will always forgive, but those who are not the parent will resent, and have animosity.

    000000000000

perhaps is better for us to work collectively, making decisions for community.

Even if we knew for sure a giant planet was coming...how would that change anything? What could be done to prevent it? Such an overwhelming idea, is still just that, and idea.

This knowledge in no way does it change our daily lives. When it crashes into something, then maybe exists a reason to change ways of life.

Maybe it's very small, and will only break a vase on an end table in the sitting room of one Mr Earnst Smegma, of which no one was even home at the time, and he later blamed it on the cat.

You bet. This is one of the major flaws of Ascensionist religion, doomology and alien messages etc.

In act of profound pointlessness, one could learn to run a lot faster all of a sudden and in such a circumstance in order to avoid such an object.

I am finding interesting the constructive twist this one conveys as an undertone :
negatives developing into positives that can be brought to light. Nice one Floyd :)

I sometimes see conspiracy sites as a huge library filled with thrillers some being better than others.
Over time you realize you are still holding into place despite the many " threats " encountered on the road.
You take things less seriously, get more detached and less emotional about it.
It's a learning process on several levels to finally realize you can remain calm in the middle of the turmoil
and that whatever is thrown in your direction you Are and nothing can hit that essence.
Life is full of threats until you no longer fear them.

For me it is clear that most conspiracy sites and theories are heavily infected with fear and misinformation.

Independent forums like this one can help mitigate that nonsensical gibberish.

One of the best ways to transmute fear is by molding it into humour as demonstrated by threecaster's post above.

That is one of the reasons why I like to go out in public wearing my underpants on my head whilst inserting potato chips up my nostrils and pinching the backsides of passersby needlessly.

Look back over the last five years even with the unmitigated lies that have been drip fed to alternative forums from various sources, none of which have come to pass.

Agreed, but beware singling out young people as those that are most avidly sucking up conspiracy information. Plenty adults of all ages for a long time have preferred to channel negative over positive thought. This was, at least, evident on a conspiracy-minded board I used to be a regular on.

Floyd wrote:"If you look into your own heart, and you find nothing wrong there, what is there to worry about? What is there to fear? "

    Great quote,

Accepted scientific theory says that fear is our natural instinct for survival that has been evolutionarily acquired in order to avoid danger.

I say this is true, but it is intended to be refined.

The problem with fear is that the simultaneously implies being aware of danger while also panicking about it. The trick is to control the danger response so that it does not involve a panicked decision. Panic is what causes us to lose our wits and self-control in situations that would've otherwise been remedied. Awareness of danger and/or consequences without panicking let's our thoughts flow freely towards the solutions we so badly want.

When we are afraid of danger in a panicky way we won't confront it and solve it. One sees clear examples all Social and environmental problems are peaking worldwide and haven't yet been effectively solved because when we realize how deep of a ditch we've really dug—we panic.

But it is changing, the ability to pass around and lock onto information from around the globe in an increasingly easy and reliable way is giving individuals and populations more holistic views on the world, and their power in it as a creative being. Creativity can, and will, solve any problem if focused with a strong enough will and intention.

Two videos metaw3 posted last year:

    Waiting for Armageddon (2010)

    The Doomsday Code (2006)

It is interesting to note that quite a bit of the common doom and gloom conspiracy theories serve as good fuel for these people's agenda.

Would be a bit weird. I have been known to insert cheesy wotsits up my nostrils on the odd occasion.

There is no doubt fear is used through counterknowledge and misinformation campaigns. It also makes millions for the publishing houses who no doubt perpetuate doomology on the conspiracy boards and youtube as it serves them to make vast amounts of money.

On a more sinister basis an egregore of fear is used in black occult lodges. It is entirely reasonable to believe rituals are used to influence others. The good news is there are others trying to counter them and keep them in check. And why not.

Unfortunately the Conspiracy movement is inundated with fear based nonsense.
Project Camelot is a fine example of this sadly for them and their readers. The unmitigated fear based crap on that site is just woeful. Surely they could lighten up a little and do something useful. They are by no means not the only ones caught in the fear trap.

I agree " the conspiracy movement is inundated by fear based nonsense ".
I think it would be interesting to attempt to trace this back and see if there is a common source to the rumors spread.

In the above videos I linked it is clear conspiracy theories of all kinds are solid gold for Fundamentalists serving their end timers agenda all to well.I sometimes wonder if these are not sides of a same coin.

I think they come from a variety of sources rather than one Mudras Mudras.

The fear and the doomsday scenario that is usually plastered over the internet via websites forums and youtube vids range from biblical styl- apocolyptica to Sci Fi (pseudo science) style Niburu and magnetic shift scenarios to UFO invasion scenarios to New Age like ascension/pole shift scenarios.

Quite a lot isnt there? Its spokes persons range from Fundamentalists to people like Wilcock, Patrick Geryl, Nancy Leider, Sitchen, Taze Russel and so on. The list is almost endless.

There is doubt part of this campaign is run by the dvd and book publishing companies who sell fear based material and make millions from it. They clearly have have a net presence with people pushing the theories behind the books on forums etc to muster up interest and keep the sales coming.

Some of the misinformation spread online is agency or institution based and that has been termed counterknowledge or misinformation. Misinformation packaged to look like fact from alleged 'insiders and whistle blowers'

It is counterknowledge that sites like Avalon, ATS and Camelot act as conduits for whether wittingly or unwittingly and we can all think of classic examples of that with certain people 'coming forward' as it where.

See below for Damien Thompson's book on counterknowledge.
    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Counterknowledge-Surrendered-Conspiracy-Theories-Medicine/dp/1843546752

Add to that the pseudo scientists (who are backed by the publishing companies) and the charlatans not to mention the self proclaimed messiahs and gurus all predicting this that and the other.

There is a political agenda too. There is an element of the conspiracy movement (especially but not limited to the USA) that is involved in the extreme right of politics, neo-con and racial purity groups some of which fly the flag of Christian Liberty as it where.

Christian sects such as the Jehovah Witnesses and the Seventh Day Adventists (the seed of the eugenics based Urantia movement) have been fixated with end time doomsday scenarios the former having to change the date of Doom Central at least three times.

So yeah a lot of bullshit coming from a lot of different places rather than just one group I would say.
